This year I wanted to have courage and enter the Master Artist category for Print Competition through the Professional Photographers of America. In order to do this, I had an idea in mind, found the models to carry out the vision, bought the props/costumes pieces, photographed them and put them into a scene. The judges score them 65-100. 80-84 is deserving of a merit.You need 25 of these to receive your degree. It's a big deal in the industry.
Unfortunately, non of my entries for this category merited. Boo. But I have to think of the truth that failing is only the fear of not entering. If I truly put my best effort into it, I have not failed. I will look back at these someday and see how much I have improved. I plan to improve as I did in Photographc Open category for Masters of Photography Degree.I have working towards this over the past 3 years. I am only 3 merits away from achieving that degree.
